Heritage labels don’t get much more iconic than Burberry, which was founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry when he was just 21 years old. Starting out by designing technical apparel in response to England’s rainy landscape – he’s credited for inventing the water-repellent gabardine material used to produce his famous trench coats – the young dressmaker can’t have anticipated that his humble outerwear shop would go on to become one of the world’s biggest fashion houses. With Yorkshire-native Daniel Lee at the helm, expect to find updated takes on signature oversized checks, classic jackets and premium leather goods that nod to the house’s rich history. Look out for the equestrian knight logo on everything from T-shirts and sweaters to scarves and bags.
